Why Use a Professional Pet Sitter?
Your pets can stay in familiar surroundings while being cared for by a professional, insured pet sitter who ensures they get cuddles, snuggles, and belly rubs. Maintaining your pet’s usual schedule significantly reduces stress while you’re away. Boarding facilities such as doggie daycares can be traumatic for pets not used to them. Due to the number of animals at the facility, they may become overstimulated, exposed to illnesses, or not receive the attention they need.

In addition to caring for your pets, a professional pet sitter will take care of your home by bringing in mail, rotating lights, closing blinds, and more. If any issues arise, your sitter will notify you promptly, giving you peace of mind that your pets and home are safe.

Is Tender Love & Pet Care insured and bonded?
Yes, we are insured and bonded through Pet Care Insurance. A Certificate of Coverage is available upon request.

What types of pets do you care for?
We care for various pets, including dogs, cats, birds, chickens, turtles, rabbits, and lizards. If you have a different type of pet, feel free to reach out—we’re open to caring for most animals.

How are keys handled?
The safety of your home is a top priority. Tender Love & Pet Care requires TWO working keys to be kept in a lockbox at your home. You may decide the best location for the lockbox—it does not need to be on your door.

If you live in a gated community, you must provide a gate card, remote, or access code. We cannot access your home via a leasing office or concierge or by calling you for entry.

How do I make payment?
Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept all major credit cards and require a valid card to be kept on file. Invoices are sent via email through Square, where you can securely save your card on file and pay for services. A 3% card processing fee applies to all transactions.

Should I tip my care provider?
Gratuity is not required but is always appreciated! You can tip in the following ways:
• Add a tip to your invoice

• Venmo your sitter directly

• Leave cash in an envelope labeled Tender Love & Pet Care, so we know it’s for us.

100% of the gratuity goes directly to your care provider.

How do I sign up for a service as a new client?
Click any “Get Started” button on our website or app to complete preliminary information. If you have questions, visit the Contact Us page or email us directly at michelle@tlptenderlovepetcare.com.

How do I schedule or cancel services?
The most efficient way to request or cancel services is through our app. Click “Schedule” to book new visits or cancel/change existing ones. You can download the app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store or visit our website at www.tpltenderlovepetcare.com and click “Client Login.”

Why is a consultation needed?
The “meet and greet” helps us get to know each other, familiarize ourselves with your home, and, most importantly, bond with your pets. It also allows us to clarify any questions about your instructions.
• The first consultation is free.
• Additional consultations are $30 per visit to cover staff time and travel.

Please be prepared to:
1. Show rabies vaccination records.
2. Provide two working keys.
3. Determine the location of the lockbox.

My pet requires medication. Can your care provider administer meds?
Our care providers are trained to administer oral and transdermal medications and injections.

How much advance notice do you require?
There is no such thing as booking “too early”! We are happy to accommodate last-minute requests if our schedule allows.
• Next-Day Requests: $15 fee.
• Same-Day Requests: $20 fee.

For new clients, a consultation is required before services can begin.

Do you work holidays?
Absolutely! We work during holidays so you can enjoy time with friends and family. A $30 holiday surcharge applies to all visits on federal holidays.

What happens during inclement weather?
Your pet’s safety is always our top priority. We may modify the time spent outdoors during extreme weather and focus on indoor playtime instead. Please leave a towel out so we can clean wet or muddy paws as needed.

Policies

Payment Policies:
• We accept credit or debit cards only.
• All clients are required to have a valid card on file. Full payment is due at the time of booking.
• A 3% card processing fee will apply to all transactions.

Cancellation Policies for Non-Holiday Services:
• Dog Walking and Pet Sitting: Cancellations made after 8 PM the night before the visit will be charged the full price of the visit.

Overnight Services:
• Cancellations with at least two weeks’ notice will receive a credit for the full amount.
• Cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice will forfeit 50% of the booking cost.
• Early returns must provide 24-hour notice to receive a 50% credit for services not completed.

Payment and Cancellation Policies for Holiday Services:
• Clients must pay in full when booking to guarantee holiday services.
Holiday Cancellation Policy:
• Cancellations with six weeks’ notice: 100% credit.
• Cancellations with three weeks’ notice: 50% credit.
• Cancellations with less than three weeks’ notice: no credit.
• No credits will be issued for early returns.

Holidays Include:
